The New England Patriots squandered a golden opportunity in the third quarter Sunday.

The Patriots were knocking on the door at the Philadelphia Eagles’ 1-yard line after Tom Brady completed a 24-yard pass to running back James White. The scoring chance slipped through New England’s fingers, though, as two plays later Brady fired an interception that Philadelphia safety Malcolm Jenkins returned 99 yards for a touchdown.

The Eagles led 21-14 after the pick-six, which changed the game significantly. The Patriots made some uncharacteristic mistakes Sunday, and Brady’s red-zone interception was among the biggest flubs.
