There could be a lot on the line Saturday in Houston.
A handful of college football heavyweights will do battle across the country on championship Saturday, and two up-and-coming teams will throw down in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game.
The AAC title game will take place on the campus of the University of Houston, where the Cougars will host the upstart Temple Owls. Houston is looking to get into a New Year’s Day bowl, while Temple is trying to improve its standing heading into what will be its first bowl appearance since 2012.
