Juventus will clinch the top spot in Group D of the UEFA Champions League if it’s fit enough to tie Sevilla.
Juventus visits Sevilla on Tuesday needing just one point in the teams’ group-stage finale to secure first place ahead of Manchester City. Sevilla sits last in the group and needs both a win over Juventus and a Manchester City win over Borussia Monchengladbach to clinch third place and a spot in the UEFA Europa League in the new year.
Following a slow start to the season, Juventus has hit a stride recently, winning six of its last seven games in all competition. Sevilla is struggling in the middle of the La Liga standings and hasn’t earned a point in the Champions League since Week 1 in September.
Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente is expected to face his former club. He played two seasons with Juventus and played a role in its march to the Champions League final last season.
