Having already secured a spot in the Round of 16, Manchester City can top the group with a win and some help: Sevilla also must beat Juventus in the other Group D finale. Borussia Monchengladbach can ensure a third-place finish with a victory in England.
Manchester City has struggled in the absence of injured captain Vincent Kompany. The Belgian center back hasn’t recovered from a calf injury in time to face Borussia Monchengladbach. Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi will look to secure Manchester City’s defense from the middle.
Borussia Monchengladbach’s win over Bayern Munich on Saturday has given it a fresh injection of confidence. We’ll watch to see whether it has enough momentum to defeat Manchester City.
