College football’s championship weekend gets started Friday night in Detroit, where the MAC title will handed out in a showdown between Bowling Green and Northern Illinois.
Northern Illinois has run the MAC in recent seasons, winning 39 of its last 43 conference games. This season, however, Bowling Green has put folks on notice with a 7-1 record in the MAC East and will enter Friday night’s game as a two-touchdown favorite.
