The NHL All-Star Game has come to Nashville for the first time.

A new format will be used for the game this season. Instead of a traditional 5-on-5 contest that often is high-scoring but usually features boring action, there will be four teams — one from each of the four divisions — that will compete in a 3-on-3 “tournament” over three 20-minute periods.

The first two 20-minute periods will act as semifinals, and the third 20-minute period will act as a championship round between the winners of the first two periods.

The All-Star Skills Competition returns Saturday night and features six events that will test the skill and creativity of the players involved. Unlike the All-Star Game, the Skills Competition will feature the traditional East vs. West matchup. The conference with the most points after the last event will win.

Here’s all the information you need to watch the All-Star Skills Competition and the All-Star Game this weekend, followed by a list of the four ASG rosters.
