Ben Bishop Trolls Rams Owner For Moving His Childhood NFL Team To L.A.

A regular-season win over a struggling Colorado Avalanche team on a Tuesday night in January normally isn’t a huge deal, but it was for Ben Bishop.

The Tampa Bay Lightning goalie made 21 saves in a 4-0 shutout victory, but it was extra sweet for Bishop because the owner of the Avalanche, Stan Kroenke, announced earlier Tuesday he was moving the NFL’s St. Louis Rams to Los Angeles for the 2016 season.

Bishop, who was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the third round of the 2005 draft, couldn’t help throwing some shade Kroenke’s way for moving the team he rooted for growing up.

The Rams won’t be in St. Louis anymore, but at least hockey — and baseball, too — is alive and well in the city.
