T.J. Ward gave New England Patriots fans another reason to dislike him Sunday afternoon.

The Denver Broncos safety, who’s best known around these parts for taking out Rob Gronkowski’s knees in 2013, was slapped with a personal foul penalty after he laid a late hit on Patriots running back Brandon Bolden during the first quarter of the AFC Championship Game.

Luckily for Ward, the Patriots only picked up about one extra yard on the penalty. They scored one play later, though, with Steven Jackson bulldozing his way across the goal line for New England’s first touchdown of the afternoon.
