Bruins’ Mental Toughness, Extra Effort Kept Team Afloat Vs. Maple Leafs

It was a back-and-forth hockey game all night Saturday, but the Boston Bruins prevailed.

Head coach Claude Julien praised his team’s resiliency against a mediocre Maple Leafs team that continued fighting and kept the game knotted until the final minute. Boston snuck away with a 3-2 win, thanks largely to defenseman Torey Krug’s outstanding awareness on a nifty save in net.

The win gives the B’s back-to-back wins for the first time in 2016, and for the first time since a three-game streak Dec. 16-20.

Check out everything Julien had to say when he caught up with NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley after the game on “Bruins Overtime Live.”
