The Boston Bruins and Canucks were tied at one goal apiece heading into the third period of Thursday’s game at TD Garden, but Vancouver owned the final frame en route to a 4-2 win. And the story of the game for Boston was its unforced errors.
“We didn’t seem to be able to make too many good passes tape-to-tape and then create some good opportunities,” coach Claude Julien said on “Bruins Overtime Live” after Thursday’s game. “We had a lot of unforced errors, even in the offensive zone in cycling the puck and then making a pass right on their stick.
“But at the same time you got to want to be a little bit more determined to win those battles. … They seemed to want it more, there’s no doubt about that.”
