It’s been less than 24 hours since folks in and around St. Louis found out they were losing their football team.

But another NFL club already is vying for their broken hearts.

The NFL on Tuesday night approved St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke’s proposal to move the team back to Los Angeles in 2016, ending the club’s 20-year stint in St. Louis.

On Wednesday, the Indianapolis Colts reached out to Rams fans on Twitter with a bit of a bold suggestion.

The Colts have the right idea here, and we’re sure a handful of fans will take up Indy’s offer and start rooting for Andrew Luck and Co. But 240 miles isn’t exactly right next door, considering there’s an entire state (Illinois) between the two cities.

Besides, there’s technically another NFL team in the Show-Me State. The Kansas City Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium, which is located just over the Kansas border in Missouri. And unlike the Colts, who went 8-8 this season and somehow missed the playoffs despite playing in the AFC South, the Chiefs are actually pretty decent, as 31 wins and two playoff appearances over the last three seasons can attest.

We suppose it’s worth a shot, though.
