We don’t know the name of UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm’s next opponent, but we now know it won’t be Ronda Rousey.

It’s been almost two months since Holm shocked the world at UFC 193 by beating the previously undefeated Rousey, and it appeared the two would meet again at UFC 200 for a rematch in July 2016.

That might still happen, but Holm won’t wait until then for her next bout. Instead, UFC president Dana White said Wednesday on FOX’s “UFC Tonight” that Holm “will fight before she fights Ronda.”

While White didn’t officially name Holm’s next opponent, FOX Sports’ Damon Martin points out that Miesha Tate likely will get the first shot at the new champion.

And in similar news, White says he expects Rousey to return to the Octagon in 2016.

“You will see Ronda Rousey fight again,” White said. “Ronda has dedicated the last three-plus years to working hard here. Not just fighting, but promoting and taking the sport and the UFC to a whole other level. Ronda has some well-deserved time off but she will fight this year.”
