Winter Storm Jonas dropped a heap of snow on the East Coast this weekend, but folks in Denver won’t have to worry about dealing with any white stuff Sunday.
For the most important part of the day, anyway.
Denver enjoyed mid-60s temperatures and sun Saturday ahead of the AFC Championship Game between the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots. But Sunday’s showdown at Sports Authority Field at Mile High will be a slightly cooler affair, with the Denver forecast calling for clouds and temperatures in the mid-40s.
The game, which will kick off at 3:05 p.m ET and 1:05 p.m. local time, could see some precipitation around its conclusion. Rain and snow showers are expected to begin around 4 p.m. local time as temperatures drop into the high 30s. The city could get up to two inches of snow Sunday night after the game ends.
Either way, it appears conditions will be much tamer than when the Patriots traveled to Denver in Week 12 and dealt with steady snowfall that created very sloppy conditions.
