LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Kings acquired forward Vincent Lecavalier and defenseman Luke Schenn from the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday for center Jordan Weal and a third-round pick.
Lecavalier and Schenn bring veteran experience to Los Angeles, which won the Stanley Cup in 2012 and 2014 before missing the playoffs last season.

Lecavalier’s agent, Kent Hughes, told ESPN.com after the trade was announced Wednesday that his client will retire at the end of the season, therefore forgoing the final two years of his contract. Lecavalier would have earned $3 million in salary each season.
The 26-year-old Schenn has two goals and three assists and is in the final year of his contract.
