Roberto Firmino doesn’t score often for Liverpool .. that is, unless the Reds are playing a big game.

Firmino scored a stunning, curled goal Wednesday in Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Arsenal. The teams were tied 1-1 in the 19th minute, when Firmino received James Milner’s pass, picked a corner at which to shoot and placed it there from 25 yards out.

The goal was Firmino’s second of the game. It followed his sixth-minute effort, which gave Liverpool an early lead.

Firmino, 24, only had scored once 24 games for Liverpool prior to Arsenal’s visit to Anfield. He scored his first goal on Nov. 21 in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Manchester City — the Reds’ best performance of the season.

Firmino must have glanced at the Premier League standings before kickoff and saw Arsenal sitting at the top of the heap.

Game. Raised.
