Spotting a “Tom Brady for President” sign or banner at Gillette Stadium has become as common over the past 15 years as any other sign supporting a political candidate on your neighbor’s lawn.

But could the New England Patriots quarterback actually have a future in politics? Actor Mark Wahlberg was asked for his thoughts on the issue by TMZ on Thursday after leaving The Palm restaurant in Beverly Hill, Calif.

As far as Wahlberg is concerned, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump won’t get any help because of his friendship with Brady.

As for Brady? We hope he sticks to football, too.
