The Green Bay Packers will be looking to halt the two-game losing streak that cost them the NFC North division title when they visit the Washington Redskins on Wild Card Weekend in a pick’em betting matchup at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Green Bay is just 4-6 straight up since opening the season with six straight wins and enters Sunday afternoon’s Packers-Redskins betting matchup with just one SU win in their past five games against teams with winning records.
Point production has been a problem for the Packers, who have scored just 21 over their past two outings, with the club’s offensive line allowing quarterback Aaron Rodgers to get sacked a whopping 13 times, and 35 times over their past 10 games.
Things get no easier for the Packers against Washington, which enters the playoffs riding a four-game SU win streak, claiming the victory as a betting underdog in each of those contests.
Led by pivot Kirk Cousins’ nine total touchdown passes, the Redskins have averaged 35.7 points over their past three games while their defensive line has tallied an impressive 13 sacks over their past four outings.
The Redskins are also a solid 6-1 SU in their past seven home dates, claiming against the spread victories on five occasions according to the OddsShark NFL Database.
Washington posted a 16-13 win as 3-point underdogs in the Packers’ last visit to the nation’s capital back in 2010, but it is Green Bay that has dominated in head-to-head matchups, going 5-1 SU in its past six, 4-1-1 ATS.
In Sunday’s other NFC Wild Card matchup, the Minnesota Vikings, winners of their past three SU and past four ATS, welcome the Seattle Seahawks to TCF Bank Stadium as 6-point betting underdogs.
Minnesota captured the NFC North crown with a 20-13 win in Green Bay last weekend, powered by a ground game that racked up 151 yards and one score.
The Vikings now have averaged 166 rushing yards per game over their past three outings, scoring four total touchdowns but will have their hands full against Seattle’s league-leading rush defense which has allowed just 81.5 ground yards per game this season and 31 or fewer rushing yards in three of its past five.
The Seahawks have won six of seven SU, and closed the regular season with a 36-6 beating of the NFC West champion Arizona Cardinals. That victory also lifted Seattle to 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in its past five road contests, including a 38-7 rout of the Vikings in Week 13, allowing just 6.8 points per game during that stretch.
