Patriots Injury Report: Rob Gronkowski Doesn’t Practice With Back, Knee Issues

FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots’ injury report remained lengthy and mostly unchanged Thursday.

Rob Gronkowski’s absence Thursday was the biggest change from Wednesday’s injury report, though there are conflicting reports regarding the Patriots tight end.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Mike Reiss reported that Gronkowski received an injection in his knee while getting treatment at a Boston hospital. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, who reported earlier in the day that Gronkowski “should be good” to play Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs, reported that Gronk didn’t receive an injection and has just been receiving treatment to get ready to play.

The Patriots resent their injury report at 6:54 p.m. ET to note Gronkowski has a back ailment to go along with his knee issue.

Linebacker Jonathan Freeny also was absent, but it wasn’t related to his hand ailment. The absence wasn’t injury related.
