Patriots Re-Sign DeAndre Carter To Practice Squad, Cut Torrian Wilson

FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots continued their practice squad shake-up Wednesday by re-signing wide receiver DeAndre Carter.

Carter was cut from the Patriots’ practice squad Tuesday, when the team added receiver J.J. Worton and safety Cedric Thompson. Carter originally signed to the practice squad Dec. 15.

The Patriots released offensive lineman Torrian Wilson to make room for Carter. Wilson was signed Nov. 10.

Carter, who’s 5-foot-8, 188 pounds, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens in May. He spent most of the 2015 season on the Oakland Raiders’ practice squad.

Carter joins Worton, Thompson, running backs Montee Ball and Joey Iosefa, offensive linemen Keavon Milton and Chris Barker, linebacker Kevin Snyder, cornerback Rashaan Melvin and safety Brock Vereen on the Patriots’ practice squad.
