Peyton Manning Earns $2M For Beating Patriots; Super Bowl Bonus Also Possible

Peyton Manning already has roughly a bajillion dollars — and that’s just for slinging pizza and singing about chicken parm.

The Denver Broncos quarterback also has made a pretty penny for his football-playing abilities during his 19 NFL seasons. He added to his impressive bankroll with relative chump change Sunday, as Manning reportedly earned a $2 million bonus for defeating the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.

As Manning and the Broncos prepare to face the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, there’s more at stake for Manning and his accountant. NFL.com points out Manning still can make another $2 million bonus if the Broncos win the Super Bowl.

Manning is in line to reach the bonus after restructuring his contract before the season. He agreed to a $4 million paycut in March, as his yearly salary went from $19 million to $15 million. That money, of course, could be recaptured by Manning through these playoff bonuses, and he’s only one win away from getting it all back.
