Foxboro police responded to a report of a suspicious man in an offsite Gillette Stadium parking lot Friday morning, confiscating several weapons and arresting the man on several charges before the NHL Winter Classic between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens.

Matthew Bromson, a 48-year-old from Connecticut, was charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, possession of an electric stun gun and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, police told WCVB Channel 5.

The weapons confiscated included the stun gun and several sharp-edged weapons, including swords and a meat cleaver.

Bromson was found in an employee parking lot around 11 a.m. ET and is scheduled to be arraigned in Wrentham District Court on Wednesday, according to CBS Boston.

“This is an isolated incident and at no time was there a threat to Gillette Stadium,” Foxboro police said, via CBS Boston. “Bromson was taken into custody without incident and there were no injuries to any of the involved parties.”

Bromson previously was involved in an hours-long standoff in 2014, when police tried to serve an outstanding warrant.
