The exodus from the New England Patriots continues.
Patriots linebackers coach Patrick Graham is expected to move on to coach the New York Giants’ defensive line, a source told ESPN’s Adam Caplan on Thursday. The move comes as a surprise, since it appeared Graham was the Patriots’ defensive coordinator in waiting. He called plays in the team’s final preseason game in 2015.
Patriots director of player development Kevin Anderson was hired by the Detroit Lions as their chief of staff and assistant to the general manager, team senior writer Tim Twentyman reported Thursday. Former Patriots director of pro scouting Bob Quinn was hired as the Lions’ general manager earlier this month.
Patriots strength and conditioning coach Harold Nash, medical director Dr. Matt Provencher and offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo also have departed the team so far this offseason.
Patriots assistant strength and conditioning coach Moses Cabrera is expected to take over for Nash, a source told WEEI.com’s Chris Price. Patriots coaching assistants Stephen Belichick and Jerry Schuplinski could take over for DeGuglielmo or Graham.
