It certainly appears Ronda Rousey is making a triumphant return to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and she might be wearing even less than in her previous appearance.
The UFC superstar appeared in the famous swimsuit edition last year, and a cryptic tweet from SI’s swimsuit issue editor seems to indicate Rousey will be back this year — in body paint.
SI Swimsuit editor MJ Day posted this photo to Instagram on Tuesday, teasing a shot for the annual issue, which drops in early February.
“And while the full identity of the mystery model won’t be revealed until next month, some savvy web sleuths think they may have already figured out who she is,” an SI.com story posted Tuesday reads.
Those “savvy web sleuths” believe that’s Rousey in the photo after matching up the fighter’s wrist tattoo to the one in the photo, as For The Win pointed out Wednesday.
It’s shaping up to be another busy year for Rousey. Despite a shocking title bout loss to Holly Holm in November, Rousey remains one of the biggest athlete attractions on the planet right now. Earlier this week, “Saturday Night Live” announced Rousey will host the Jan. 23 episode. Rousey also has her hand in the movie game, too, set to star in a “Road House” remake and alongside Mark Wahlberg in an upcoming film.
