Ronda Rousey feels at home in the octagon and in Southern California. Let’s see how she fares live from center stage in New York City.

Rousey has agreed to host “Saturday Night Live” on Jan. 23, NBC, ESPN and UFC.com announced Tuesday. Rousey will become the first female athlete and first MMA fighter to host NBC’s hit show.

Rousey, 28, has kept a low profile since her November loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November.

Rousey won’t return to the octagon until later this year, but she remains active outside of the sport. She has appeared in “Expendables 3,” “Furious 7” and “Entourage,” so her acting skills should help her be comfortable on the “SNL” set.

Selena Gomez will be the musical guest that night.
