Jonas has caused the Boston Celtics to change their plans, and we’re not talking about the team’s Swedish swingman.

The Celtics’ game in Philadelphia against the 76ers, originally scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET, has been postponedĀ to Sunday at 7 p.m. due to Winter Storm Jonas, which is expected to bring blizzard-like conditionsĀ to the area over the weekend.

Boston still is scheduled to fly to Philadelphia on Friday night after the team’sĀ game against the Chicago Bulls at TD Garden.

The storm is expected to reach the city Friday night and intensify into Saturday, potentially dropping 12 to 18 inches of snow over the course of the day.

The Celtics’Ā updated schedule will give local sports fans a double dip Sunday, as the New England Patriots will battle the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game at 3 p.m. ET. It also creates a back-to-back for the C’s, who will travel to Washington on Monday to take on the Wizards.

The Wizards also were forced to postpone their Saturday contestĀ against the Utah Jazz due to the storm. They have yet to schedule a make-up date.
