Seahawks Fan Starts Petition To Ban Cam Newton From Playing In Seattle

There must be a nice winter sea breeze in Seattle because Seahawks fans sound pretty salty.

Seahawks diehards apparently haven’t gotten over the fact that Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton threw a 12th Man flag on the ground at his own stadium (and beat them twice during the 2015 season), so they’ve decided he’s no longer welcome in Seattle. One fan started a petition on Change.org to try to ban Newton from CenturyLink Field.

“Cam Newton is one of the most unprofessional, unsportsmanlike individual on the face of the planet,” the petition reads. “So I say for the 2016-2017 when the Panthers come to play in Seattle he should be banned from entering the stadium. This should teach him to put his arrogance in check!!”

OK.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the petition had over 1,000 signatures, so apparently the hate for Newton is growing. Plus, it’s not like any Seahawks have ever been fined or flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct ever in the team’s existence, right?
