Shea Weber Almost Beats Zdeno Chara’s 108.8-MPH Hardest Shot Record (Video)

Zdeno Chara’s record is safe for another year.

Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber won the hardest shot competition for the second year in a row with a 108.1-mph blast Saturday night during the 2016 NHL All-Star Skills Competition. He just missed out on breaking Chara’s 108.8-mph record, set in 2012.

You can see Weber’s attempt at history in the video below.

That certainly put a smile on the Nashville fans’ faces at Bridgestone Arena.
