Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith had yet another raucous exchange Tuesday on ESPN’s “First Take,” and this time it was over the New England Patriots.

Just a day after the Patriots’ offensive line struggled mightily in the team’s 20-18 loss to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game, New England fired OL coach Dave DeGuglielmo. And Bayless wasn’t a big fan of the move.

“Stephen A. Smith, can you say scapegoat? Because I can,” Bayless said on Tuesday’s show. “Can you say blame deflection by a head coach (Bill Belichick) with an unfair firing? Because I just did.”

While Bayless criticized Belichick for the decision, Smith argued in defense of the Patriots head coach.

“My point is who the hell are you to question Bill Belichick about who he decides to fire? He would know what the guy does,” Smith said. “He would know.”

And those are just snippets from their chaotic four-minute exchange, which you can hear for yourself in the video below.
