FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots’ bye week started on a positive note.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman (foot), defensive end Chandler Jones (toe/abdomen), linebackers Dont’a Hightower (knee) and Jonathan Freeny (hand), cornerback Justin Coleman (concussion) and offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle (shoulder), all of whom didn’t play in the Patriots’ Week 17 loss to the Miami Dolphins, were present for Wednesday’s walk-through. Quarterback Tom Brady, who injured his ankle against the Dolphins, also was spotted.

The Patriots currently are scheduled to practice twice more this week, though it wouldn’t be shocking to see head coach Bill Belichick give his team Friday off.
