The New England Patriots have dealt with injuries all season, but they got their biggest scare of the season Sunday.
The Patriots trailed the Miami Dolphins by three points in the second quarter of their Week 17 matchup when quarterback Tom Brady threw an incomplete pass on third down.
What had Patriots fans holding their breath, though, was what happened after the play. Dolphins defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh rolled up on Brady with a low hit, causing the Patriots QB to contort awkwardly.
The play looked really bad, and Brady limped off after appearing to injure his right ankle. Fortunately for the entire New England region, though, he didn’t miss a single play, returning to the field on the Patriots’ next drive with some extra tape on his ankle.
