The Boston Red Sox are in a good place entering the 2016 season, and they could be in an even better place going into future seasons based on their minor league talent.

Five Red Sox farmhands appeared on Baseball Prospectus’ Top 101 Prospects of 2016 list published Friday. Yoan Moncada led the way for Boston as Major League Baseball’s No. 7 prospect, according to the BP rankings.

Red Sox prospects Rafael Devers (No. 35), Andrew Benintendi (No. 46), Anderson Espinoza (No. 73) and Michael Kopech (No. 98) joined Moncada on the list, which was topped by Corey Seager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Byron Buxton of the Minnesota Twins and Lucas Giolito of the Washington Nationals.

The Red Sox would have had seven representatives in the top 101, but they traded Manuel Margot (No. 14) and Javier Guerra (No. 56) to the San Diego Padres earlier this offseason in a package for All-Star closer Craig Kimbrel.
