Stephen Curry has always been hungry.

Curry tasted championship glory last season with the Golden State Warriors en route to cementing himself as arguably the NBA’s best player. The reigning league MVP was destined for greatness long before then and long before he was drafted seventh overall in 2009, though.

Need proof? Look no further than the following Burger King commercial that aired in the early 1990s.

The BK spot, which was brought to light Monday night during the Warriors’ game against the Charlotte Hornets, features a young Curry hanging out with his father, former NBA player Dell Curry. While the younger Curry obviously was focused on gobbling up a couple of burgers on his father’s dime back then, he still made clear his intentions to someday follow in his dad’s footsteps and play in the NBA.

Also, little Steph was quite the ham. Success pretty much was inevitable.
