In the latest of several transactions involving their fourth line, the Boston Bruins on Sunday placed forward Zac Rinaldo on waivers.

Rinaldo was one of more than a half-dozen NHL players to hit the waiver wire on the eve of the league’s trade deadline, according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie.

Boston sent a third-round pick to Philadelphia last summer to acquire Rinaldo, who spent his first four NHL seasons with the Flyers. The 25-year-old has played in 51 of the Bruins’ 62 games this season, tallying one goal and two assists and collecting 81 penalty minutes.

Both Rinaldo and forward Max Talbot, who cleared waivers Sunday, are eligible to play Sunday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
