Cam Newton is taking the Frank Sinatra approach.
Although Newton has been criticized for being a sore loser since the Carolina Panthers lost to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50, the reigning NFL MVP vowed Friday to continue doing things “my way” in an inspirational Instagram post geared toward his supporters.
A dejected Newton, of course, walked out of his postgame press conference following Carolina’s Super Bowl loss, which infuriated some former NFL players and pundits. He also rubbed his critics the wrong way earlier this week in staying true to his polarizing self.
Well, football fans, you’d better get used to it. For better or worse, Newton isn’t changing for anyone.
