Former Seahawk Michael Robinson Happy To End Career Super Bowl Champion

SAN FRANCISCO — Former Seattle Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson ended his career in the perfect manner: Super Bowl champion.

Robinson spent eight seasons in the NFL, with the last four being in Seattle. He helped the Seahawks defeat Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII. It was his final game as a pro football player.

Manning has a chance at redemption Sunday when he takes on the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Some people have speculated it could be Manning’s last game.’s Ashley Allen spoke to Robinson in a Radio Row interview about the possibility of Manning retiring after Sunday.

“Peyton’s great,” Robinson said. “I think if he wins it, I think he’ll retire. What are you coming back for? This is his fourth Super Bowl. You’re a five-time MVP, an All-Pro, Pro Bowler. What else are you playing for if you win another Super Bowl? If he wins, especially if he wins, I think it’s a wrap.”
