We bet you’ve never seen Jason Pierre-Paul’s mangled hand like this before.
The New York Giants defensive end on Monday changed his Twitter and Instagram avatars to an X-ray image of his injured hand, revisiting the Fourth of July 2015 fireworks accident, in which he lost his entire index finger and part of the thumb and index fingers on his right hand.
SB Nation provided an up-close look at Pierre-Paul’s x-ray.
Pierre-Paul previously has shared pictures of his injured hand, but this is the first time the public has seen what its X-ray looks like.
The accident limited Pierre-Paul to just eight games in 2015. He was a superstar at his position before the accident but only had one sack last season.
Pierre-Paul will become an unrestricted free agent next month.
