LFC Quartet Returning To Practice From Injury, Boost Reds Amid Packed Schedule

Philippe Coutinho, Divock Origi and Martin Skrtel are set to join Daniel Sturridge in returning to training later this week.

The trio have been out of action since January 5, December 26 and December 20 respectively but will step up their recovery at Melwood in the coming days.

Alongside them will be Sturridge, with Jurgen Klopp eagerly looking forward to having more options to choose from amid a hectic schedule of games.

“(They are) closer, close to returning to training,” Klopp said Monday at his pregame press conference.

“Martin needs two or three days’ more time. Divock and Phil and Daniel should return to training — Daniel on Wednesday and the other two on Thursday. That’s the plan.

“And Martin, I think, at the weekend. These are our transfers … four new players for LFC! That is good for us, of course.

“With the really long-term injuries (Joe Gomez and Danny Ings), nothing has changed.”
