Lionel Messi neither confirmed nor denied rumors he purchased the world’s most expensive car, but he certainly has a sense of humor about the ongoing speculation.
Messi displayed his “new car” Thursday in a light-hearted post on Instagram. Rumors suggest Messi recently outbid rival Cristiano Ronaldo for the world’s most expensive car — a €32 million ($36 million) 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti — at an auction in Paris.
However, the “new car” Messi showed off wasn’t the one we were expecting to see.
