MLB Odds: Red Sox’s 2016 Over/Under Set At 86.5 Wins; Cubs Lead At 92.5

The sportsbooks continue to think highly of the Boston Red Sox ahead of the 2016 season.

After back-to-back last-place finishes in the American League East, the Sox are favored to win the division and are near the top of the early World Series odds.

Oddsmakers also expect the Red Sox to be in the top 10 in wins with an over/under of 86.5. Although Boston is predicted to take the AL East, the Toronto Blue Jays have a higher over/under at 87.5. The New York Yankees (85.5), Tampa Bay Rays (81.5) and Baltimore Orioles (79.5) round out the AL East marks.

The Chicago Cubs, who are the clear World Series favorites, also are expected to finish with the most wins thanks to an over/under of 92.5. The top five teams — Cubs, New York Mets (89.5),San Francisco Giants (89.5), Washington Nationals (89.5) and Los Angeles Dodgers (88.50) — all are from the National League, and the Blue Jays are tied with the Houston Astros for the best AL over/under mark.

The Philadelphia Phillies are in dead last with an over/under of 65.5 wins.
