UPDATE (12:15 a.m. ET): The potential blockbuster deal that would send Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jay Bruce to the Toronto Blue Jays reportedly has hit a roadblock.

As spring training begins around MLB, the Toronto Blue Jays are looking to bolster their offense. It appears a deal for Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jay Bruce is in the works.

Talks heated up, cooled down, and are getting warm again.

It’s not a surprising move for the Jays, who are dealing with disgruntled outfielder Jose Bautista, who made it very clear Monday he wants to get paid next winter.
