NBA All-Star Game Odds: Kobe Bryant Favored To Win Fan Vote For MVP

The oddsmakers are predicting a fitting All-Star send-off for Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant this weekend.

The Lakers guard is making his final All-Star Game appearance on Sunday night, and according to Bovada, Bryant could be feeling a lot of love from MVP voters on Valentine’s Day. Bovada’s latest odds have Bryant listed as the favorite to win the All-Star Game MVP at 7-5.

Those odds seem a little high, especially when you consider Bryant’s likely destined for the worst season of his storied career, and he’s going to be facing the best (not to mention some of the youngest) the NBA has to offer. But here’s the thing: Bryant’s obviously going to get a ton of minutes as it’s his swan song, and maybe more important is the fact that the NBA All-Star Game MVP will be decided by a fan vote.

There should be no surprises when looking at some of the other favorites.

Stephen Curry: 5-1
LeBron James: 8-1
Russell Westbrook: 8-1
Kevin Durant: 10-1

It ultimately could be a big weekend for the Golden State Warriors, which would be fitting given their start to the season. Curry’s one of the favorites to win MVP, and he’s also the favorite (10-11) to win the 3-Point Contest. His Warriors teammate, Klay Thompson, is close behind at 9-2.
