So this was weird.
If Super Bowl 50 was indeed Peyton Manning’s last game, he got in some final plugs for several of his biggest sponsors.
Manning was seen before the Denver Broncos’ 24-10 victory sitting at his locker drinking Gatorade and later deflected questions about retirement by saying he was going to drink a lot of Budweiser on Sunday night to celebrate. But it was what happened as the clock hit zero that got uncomfortable.
Yeah, that was Papa John — THE Papa John — scurrying onto the field to give Peyton a celebratory handshake and kiss.
You can’t make this stuff up.
