Rex Ryan Claims He’s Finally Not Focused On Patriots At NFL Combine

In a shocking turn of events, Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan didn’t want to talk about the New England Patriots on Wednesday.

Ryan was asked about his AFC East rivals at the NFL Scouting Combine, and he finally chose to deflect.

“I don’t want to focus on anybody else’s team,” Ryan told reporters. “Especially the Patriots.”

Ryan typically enjoys talking about the Patriots even more than his own squad. Don’t call him obsessed, however.

Ryan’s Bills went 8-8 in 2015 and lost both matchups against the Patriots. New England went 1-1 against both of its other divisional foes, the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.

Ryan was hard on himself during his news conference when the topic changed to the Bills’ defense.

“We were terrible,” Ryan told reporters. “And I can’t coach defense anymore for some reason.”

It’s never boring when Ryan speaks, even when he doesn’t want to play along with questions about the Patriots.
