Roger Goodell Might Have Single-Handedly Killed ‘Dabbing’ (Video)

Roger Goodell just killed “the dab.”

The NFL commissioner is making the (very selective) media rounds at the Super Bowl in California, doing an interview with “Good Morning America” that aired Friday morning, hours before his annual Super Bowl news conference.

Goodell answered softballs and gave cookie-cutter, company-friendly answers, pushing the NFL’s message and “protecting the shield.” Quite honestly, it was boring and nothing of any substance was said.

But it was what Goodell did — not said — that’s getting attention. ABC’s Robin Roberts successfully convinced Goodell to “dab,” doing the dance move that’s been popularized by Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.

Spoiler alert: It’s as awkward as you’re imagining.

Rest in peace, dabbing.
