It’ll be a battle of the defenses when the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos take the field for Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, at least according to one simulator.

WhatIfSports.com used its NFL simulation engines to make a Super Bowl 50 prediction, and after running it 501 times it seems Peyton Manning’s nightmares will be littered with Carolina Blue.

The Panthers won Super Bowl 50 in 59.6 percent of the simulations by an average score of 20-16.

Manning typically outgained Cam Newton in their air, 208 passing yards to 193, and each averaged roughly one touchdown and one interception. Jonathan Stewart was the most likely to score a rushing touchdown.
