Super Bowl 50 between the AFC champion Denver Broncos and NFC champion Carolina Panthers promises to be a fantastic game.
Two of the NFL’s best defenses go head-to-head in a matchup that will define a lot of legacies, primarily those of the two quarterbacks: Peyton Manning of the Broncos and Panthers signal caller Cam Newton.
Manning is 1-2 all-time in Super Bowl games and has lost his last two appearances. Getting to .500 and joining the exclusive club of QBs with multiple Super Bowl rings really would enhance his standing among the best players ever at the position.
Newton is hoping this is his first of many trips to the Super Bowl. He’s the likely MVP winner after tallying a league-leading 45 touchdowns (35 passing, 10 rushing) during the regular season. Newton has received a lot of criticism since he was drafted No. 1 overall in 2011, but he has a chance to shut up his critics with an excellent performance Sunday night.
