One year after the University of Connecticut’s Byron Jones stole the show at the NFL Scouting Combine, another New England college attendee, University of Massachusetts wide receiver Tajae Sharpe, did the same with an incredible finger-tip catch.

Sharpe didn’t exactly rise above the other combine participants with his 4.55 40-yard dash or other measurables, but that’s not what UMass’ all-time leader in catches and receiving yards is known for. Instead, he’s someone who has the propensity to catch anything close to him, even if he needs his finger tips to do so.

Sharpe had 1,319 receiving yards and 111 receptions in 12 games last season for the Minutemen, but perhaps the most important catch of his career came Saturday in Indianapolis.
