Tim Tebow hasn’t played a regular-season snap in the NFL since 2012, but apparently that doesn’t matter to his fans.

A recent poll by Public Policy Polling found Tebow, who competed to be the Philadelphia Eagles’ third-string quarterback this past preseason before being cut, was the fifth favorite quarterback in the NFL with 7 percent of participant support. Tebow came in ahead of Eli Manning (6 percent), Russell Wilson (6 percent), Ben Roethlisberger (6 percent) and Drew Brees (4 percent).

The people polled also were given the choice of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers or an “other” category.

Brady came in at No. 1 with 23 percent, and Manning, Rodgers and Newton took the other spots ahead of Tebow.

Since being drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2010, Tebow has played just 35 regular season NFL games, with his last being on Oct. 14, 2012, with the New York Jets.
