SAN FRANCISCO — After a dominant 2015 season despite a severe lack of weaponry, Tom Brady has made his way back into Chris Simms’ top five quarterback rankings.

Simms, a former NFL quarterback-turned-Bleacher Report analyst, famously said in November 2014 that Brady no longer was a top-five QB. He reiterated the statement in September 2015, but after the New England Patriots quarterback threw for 4,770 yards with 36 touchdowns and just seven interceptions in 2015, he’s back in Simms’ good graces.

“Listen, Tom Brady is, as we all know, certainly one of the three greatest quarterbacks of all-time,” Simms said Friday. “I never disputed that, and I’m a big fan of Tom Brady. I only have a few autographs in my house, and Tom Brady is one of them. Now, I didn’t put him in my top five quarterbacks at one point. That went back to the 2013 AFC Championship Game. They put eight people in the box, they said, ‘Tom, can you beat us?’ For that year, yeah, I didn’t think he was a top five. He certainly was this year, I know how awesome he is.”

Simms spent a few minutes with NESN.com at Super Bowl 50 Radio Row in San Francisco discussing Brady, Deflategate, his time with the Patriots and more.
