The Boston Celtics’ first go-round with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season didn’t go too well.
The Celtics scored a season-low 77 points in a 12-point loss to the Cavs at TD Garden back in December. But Boston enters Thursday’s rematch at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland on a bit of a roll, having won seven of its last eight games to move into a tie for the Eastern Conference’s No. 3 seed.
The Cavs owned a five-game winning streak under new head coach Tyronn Lue until Wednesday night, when the Charlotte Hornets beat them by nine. Cleveland still owns the best record in the East at 35-13.
